Peter Arnold Mr. Arnold spent 23 years as an Investment Banker/Venture Capitalist, where he was instrumental in the development of over 200 businesses with early-stage funding in excess of $2 billion dollars. Mr. Arnold served as Founding Managing Director of Asenqua Ventures, specializing in a wide range of financial services, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and related financial advisory services to high–growth, early-stage and middle-market private and public companies. Mr. Arnold served on the Board of the B Intune Foundation which is committed to educational excellence through music and the arts, as well as the health and human services for all youth. Mr. Arnold served on the Board of Directors of Galaxy Classroom, a comprehensive online instructional solution to teach science, technology and math programs within public and private schools. Mr. Arnold also served on the Board of Trustees of the Nobel Charitable Trust Foundation.
Bob Lin – Managing Director Mr. Lin began his career with IBM in sales as a medical specialist in Atlanta in 1977. In 1983, Mr. Lin entered IBM’s finance fraternity and was an active pioneer of IBM’s business approach to software as a strategic imperative. His work in business case structure and portfolio analysis led him to a role as IBM’s Finance Director for application software in 1985. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Mr. Lin was responsible for the financial management of over 6,000 IBM software developers and responsible for over $500 million in annual company revenues. Mr. Lin joined IBM’s corporate financial team in 1987 and led the company’s restructuring effort.
In 1993, Mr. Lin became Chief Financial Officer and General Partner for Bluemountain Venture Capital Group. In this role, Mr. Lin was highly involved with firms ventures with Apple Computer, Blockbuster Entertainment Joint Ventures, and investments in the media industry and Video on Demand pilots with Bell Atlantic and Cox Cable. Mr. Rice also served as CEO of Smartlearning, Inc., which developed innovative educational software for kids. In late 2000, he orchestrated the successful spin–off of IBM’s education content assets into Riverdeep, Inc. Mr. Lin was a vital part of Riverdeep’s explosive growth, helping it to become the fastest growing educational software company in the United States. Today, Riverdeep has educational products in 45,000 schools in over 20 countries.
Sam Wang – Managing Director Mr. Wang brings over 25 years of business experience to AV ranging from technology to entertainment. After immigrating to New York from Xichuan, China in the early 80’s, Mr. Wang and his wife co-founded one of the largest software corporations in the US.
Mr. Wang is an avid investor with over 15 years of stocks and options trading experience and served as a financial advisor. He has held securities licenses Series 6, 63, 65, as well as Life & Health Insurance Licenses. Today, Mr.Wang remains a very active private equity investor and trader in the options and commodities markets.
Mr. Wang serves on the Boards of numerous U.S. – based and international not-for-profit organizations. He holds a Bachelors Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York); graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from CUNY (City University, New York); and a Master’s Degree from the notable UCLA. Mr. Wang is fluent in five languages.
Mr. Fu-Yuan Lin – Prior to joining AV, Mr. Le was the Founder and Manager of iScholar, serving college and executive MBA clients in Arizona and Southern California. Prior to moving to the United States, Mr. Le served as the Business Development Director for VICETCO, a Vietnam – based clean energy technology company, where he assisted importing wind turbines from the U.S. and China. Mr. Le studied international business at L’École Supérieure de Gestion et Commerce International (ESGCI) in Paris, France for two years. He holds double Bachelor of Science Degrees with Honors in Economics and Finance from the W. P. Carey School of Business from Arizona State University. He is currently an MBA candidate.
James Pruitt – Mr. Pruitt has played an integral role as a Business Analyst at Asenqua Ventures since March of 2008, assisting in the preparation of business plans, business valuations, and capital formation strategies for numerous clients. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Economics from UCLA in 2009, his research on emerging markets has been crucial in discovering potential niches in certain sectors and assisting clients to stay one step ahead of the competition. He is currently an MBA candidate at UCLA.
Theodore Nobel– Since 2000, Mr. Nobel has been assisting early-stage companies develop go-to-market strategies, operational initiatives, contract negotiations, licensing, capital formation and management recruitment in both the domestic and international markets. Mr. Nobel most recently served as COO of a medical IT company where he helped internationally launch a premier web–based PHR product. Most recently, Mr. Nobel was retained to serve as interim COO of Chrysalis Environmental Services to facilitate a go-to-market strategy to roll out a national campaign for a unique disposal system for syringe sharps and medications.
Shawn Sahebi – Mr. Sahebi has over twenty years of project development experience in the hospitality, commercial, residential and industrial real estate development industries. He has successfully handled the investment of hundreds of millions of dollars in commercial real estate assets on behalf of some of the most recognizable names in commercial and hospitality industry including Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Hilton and Radisson Hotels. Mr. Sahebi specializes in projects in California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii but has managed international developments as well.
Ronald Truss – Mr. Truss has worked at Asenqua Ventures for three years where he has specialized in business development and corporate research as well as client development. Mr. Truss holds a Master in Business Administration from the School of Business at the University of Redlands and a B.A. in Business Administration of Finance from the California State University, San Bernardino.
Quan Vu – Mr. Vu is an undergraduate at University of Southern California majoring in corporate and real estate finance. Prior to interning with AV, Mr. Vu was an Analyst at one of the top investment banking and real estate consulting firms in Vietnam. Mr.Vu is experienced in preparing extensive financial models and conducted valuation analysis on the acquisitions of two state owned hydroelectric plants in Vietnam. He also worked as a finance intern at BOA assisting clients in Southern California and Nevada with IRAs, education funding accounts and life insurance products.
